Alumni Relations

Alumni Relations

An important part of any community is the schools. While receiving an excellent educational experience, many friendships and memories have been fostered since the 1868 opening of Greely Institute. Unless alumni choose to live within the area, connections with classmates and with the towns slowly fade. Through Foundation 51, the district's education foundation, a group of volunteers has committed themselves to fulfilling the foundation's mission to inspire community involvement for the benefit of our schools. We have formed an Alumni Relations Committee. The committee's initial purpose is to: Foster community relations and improve and enhance communication and coordination among constituencies.

The committee's goals are to:

  •  Establish a small number of annual alumni events

  •  Coordinate and promote a common reunion weekend

  •  Establish a consistent manner of communication with alumni

  •  Create an electronic directory consisting of academic, professional and personal information to be used by classmates, students and the district Guidance department

Our initial efforts will focus on Homecoming activities each October as well as completing our database of alumni. We currently have many names but are in need of contact information. Please include your name (maiden too), year of matriculation, and email address. To provide current information for the database you can contact greelyalumni@gmail.com .
