On November 19, 2011, nearly 200 community members gathered at Ocean Gateway in Portland for our cruise-themed auction. With a stunning venue on the water, live music by local artist Debbie Bassett, a waterfall flowing with Caribbean punch and delicious food provided by "A Moveable Feast", the atmosphere couldn't have been more wonderful.  Both the silent and the live auctions had many terrific items, ranging from jewelry to pottery to kid's outings with teachers to Celtics tickets and even a chance to hang out with Tom Caron before a Red Sox game - we make sure there is something for everyone! The evening held other opportunities for fun, as well.  Blush Photography provided a free photo booth with cruise-themed props, an activity which elicited much silliness and laughter, and Greely students sold rubber duckies for mystery prizes, colorful leis as tickets into the "Heads and Tails" game (the winner won a Kindle Fire!), and $50 raffle tickets for the chance to win a grand prize of $2,500 cash. This year's $2500 winner was Debra Wallace, who generously donated half of her winnings back to Foundation 51! Needless to say, the event was a tremendous amount of fun and a huge success.
